Experience
I have nearly a decade of educational experience, ranging from work with elementary school students to teaching high school with a Special Education certificate. I like to work with students individually because it allows me to adapt my lessons, and to observe students closely and understand what makes the material clear to them. I find that tutoring students are able to express themselves more fully than might be possible in a group setting. My strengths as a tutor include patience, flexibility, and determination to help students get what they need from our sessions. I offer tutoring in Elementary Math through Algebra, ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Phonics, Social Studies, History, and SSAT/ISEE preparation. When I'm not working with students, I enjoy reading, walking, and spending time with my family.
