Having spent much of my life in Ohio, I also went to college in my home state. I graduated from Kent State, where I studied English. Some of my classes also focused on Romance Languages. I also have a master's degree in Education and Literature. While living in Italy for two years, I studied Music Theory, Piano Performance, and Italian. I have helped many students, of all ages and abilities. I teach Public Speaking, English Composition, Computer Applications, and Business Writing at several area colleges. I also offer some classes privately, such as Music Theory. I love to teach. I enjoy rewarding my students for their successes. I spend time getting to know each student that I work with. I like to know their challenges as well as get to know the best way to teach them so that they understand the material. I also help to improve study skills so that they can learn and grow more. I believe it's important to share my passion of learning.When I'm not working or offering tutoring sessions, I love to spend my time writing and working on music composition. I also spend much of my time outdoors, and really enjoy hiking and spending time working on my garden!
